A Look At The “Two Americas”

J.J. Jackson* | April 17, 2007

One can see why John Edwards thinks something needs to be done about the “two Americas” (and no, he doesn’t mean North and South America either). Apparently he feels guilty about living in his “America” where one can drop $400 on a haircut that is worth no more than ten bucks.

Well, John Edwards‘ campaign for president spent $400 on February 20, and another $400 on March 7, at a top Beverly Hills men’s stylist, Torrenueva Hair Designs.

White guilt?

So the question is, when John Edwards takes care of this problem and makes us “one America”, will he be forcing himself to pay $10 for that haircut by passing a law that effects him or will he be passing legislation to guarantee all Americans the same $400 do? Doing the later of course by “taxing the rich” of course?
