Rasmussen Poll – Vast Majority Think Tax System “Unfair”

Now just wait before you get excited consider the results. Sure only 27% of “Republicans” said the system was fair but only 12% of “Democrats” agreed. Translation: Most Republicans think it is unfair that the upper 10% of income earners paying the way for everyone else but Democrats don’t think we are “taxing the rich” enough and how dare the poorest Americans aren’t getting a bigger tax credit for being poor. They think the system is “unfair” but for different (opposite) reasons.

There is good news however. 56% still believe correctly that tax increases hurt the economy while only 17% believe they are generally good things for the economy.

There is still hope. Not much … but there is hope.
