Harry Reid’s Delusion

I pity a man who is so delusional that the truth is simply beyond his comprehension. Take for example Senator Harry Reid of Nevada who, after the latest attempt by liberals to set an arbitrary time frame to withdraw troops from Iraq and provide aid and comfort to the enemy, said of the measure “The Republicans are rubber-stamping the president’s failed policy.” (source)

Really? The facts tell a different story.

Fact number 1: Democrats control the Senate

Fact number 2: The resolution only was able to gather 48 votes in favor of it

Fact number 3: That is fewer than the total number of Liberal Democrats in the Senate

Fact number 4: It is Harry Reid that cannot muster enough support for his ideas

So the true, non-spun, straight forward statement that would have been made by Harry Reid if he wasn’t a complete hack should have been “We just don’t have the votes in the Senate to pass this resolution and the majority of Senators do not agree with me.” But instead, because Harry Reid is a political hack he blames the Republicans when the reality is that he couldn’t even get everyone with a D next to their name to go along with his delusion. Yet another man elected to an office for which he isn’t even qualified to hold. And people wonder why America is in dire straights? Look at the people that you elect – like Harry “where’s my medication?” Reid.
