Gingrich V. Clinton? Not Even Close

Uh oh, the left is finally going to try and claim that they‘ve got Newt Gingrich and that Newt is the same as Clinton who conservatives look at with disdain.

Newt Gingrich, the darling of the conservative right and architect of the Republicans’ 1990s “contract with America”, has spoken in depth about the extra-marital affair he conducted with a congressional assistant and confirmed that the relationship was ongoing at the time he forced the impeachment of President Bill Clinton over the Monica Lewinsky affair.

“There were times I was praying and I felt I was doing things that were wrong but I was still doing them. I look back on periods of weakness that I was not proud of,” Mr Gingrich told the conservative Christian group Focus on the Family.

I’ve read a couple comments from moonbats about this so far spouting the same old stuff about how the “religious right” would be hypocritical to support Gingrich after they pursued Clinton to the ends of the Earth over “sex”.

So let’s get a few things straight. First Clinton perjured himself and incited others to commit perjury in order to prevent a United States Citizen from getting her day in court. You know, infringing upon that whole Constitutional “rights” thing.

Gingrich was also certainly a scum for cheating on his wife. But the one thing that the left never quite gets is that us Christians do believe in forgiveness when people sincerely ask for it. Personally for me the jury is still out on Gingrich.

The pursuit of Clinton was not because he had an affair. The pursuit of Clinton was because he worked to deny a woman her day in court. Personally Clinton can have all the sex with women other than Hillary that he wants. I don’t care. But when you start denying people their constitutional rights, call me crazy, but that’s when I start caring.

I enjoy your blog; and the fair and balanced view on Newt Gingrich…
I think Newt is the best the republicans can put up…

President William Jefferson Clinton “Slick Willie” was lucky to only lose his law license over his perjuries and disgrace to the office of President of the United States…

People also need to remember that Clinton is the one whom set us up for 911 and downsized the military for 8 years and defunded such wasteful expenditures (according to the democrats and Slick Willie) such as keeping the Veterans administration and hospitals such as Walter Reed in a reasonable state of repair or being able to give quality care to deserving veterans…

Thank you again for bringing up the truth about the reason why Clinton was impeached. It wasn’t “all about sex” like the liberals whine. Sex was part of it, but the real reason was because he absed his power and possition to commit constitutional violations.

I like Gingrich’s politics on most issues and always have. Yes, I am aware of some of his shakeyness in his past personally. But his divorce is between him and God.

When the liberals stop electing former members of the KKK and scumbags that call me and my fellow soldiers baby killers (that’s you Mr. Kerry FYI) then maybe I will take their criticism to heart about a man who’s worst offense might possibly be that he is human.
