Ah, French Socialism …

France is moving to prevent anyone that is not a “professional” journalist from reporting news.
The French Constitutional Council has approved a law that criminalizes the filming or broadcasting of acts of violence by people other than professional journalists. The law could lead to the imprisonment of eyewitnesses who film acts of police violence, or operators of Web sites publishing the images, one French civil liberties group warned on Tuesday.
Once you control the media, you can control the people. Apparently the French have learned this lesson well from prior regimes like Stalin’s Russia and Hitler’s Germany.
After all, we wouldn’t want “unapproved” news to get out there now would we? Right comrades?
