There seems to be a sharp increase in the “Bush lied” about Iraq rhetoric as of late. So I thought it would be important to remember history and when the talk of Saddam being in violation of the ceasefire and having WMDs started. How about 1998 …

We must combat an unholy axis of new threats from terrorists, international criminals, and drug traffickers. These 21st century predators feed on technology and the free flow of information… And they will be all the more lethal if weapons of mass destruction fall into their hands.

Wait, what was that? Bill Clinton called Iraq part of an “unholy axis”? And the left derides President Bush over the “Axis of Evil” statement? Hmmm … seems to me I don’t hear a lot of protests over Clinton using ostensively the SAME description!
