DEMING, N.M. (AP) - The U.S. Border Patrol says a man arrested southwest of Deming with a group of illegal immigrants is wanted in Florida on a murder warrant. Marco Antonio Salazar Uriostegui, 32, was arrested Sunday night and is awaiting extradition to Florida. Border Patrol agents using infrared technology noticed a group of 17 people walking in the desert last night. When agents went to the area, one person tried to escape, but was caught after a brief chase. The immigrants were fingerprinted at the Deming Border Patrol station, where Salazar Uriostegui was found to be wanted on the murder charge from West Palm Beach, Florida. The other immigrants were deported to Mexico.
