What’s the greatest threat to world peace right now? It’s the damn Jews … just ask Democrat presidential candidate John Edwards.

The aggressively photogenic John Edwards was cruising along, detailing his litany of liberal causes last week until, during question time, he invoked the “I” word — Israel. Perhaps the greatest short-term threat to world peace, Edwards remarked, was the possibility that Israel would bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities. As a chill descended on the gathering, the Edwards event was brought to a polite close.

Not Iran or their wacko president Amadenejad? Not al-Qaeda? Not terrorists who think their god commands them to blow up women and children in the market? Not Kim Jung Mentally Ill launching rockets left and right while pursuing nuclear weapons? Not Hugo Chavez and the communist takeover of Venezuela? But Israel?

Boy, a few Jews get together, form a country, fend off invasions and defend themselves for decades and the liberals get scared. Well, I guess at least we now know what it takes!
