Ellen Goodman, Another Moonbat Without A Clue
J.J. Jackson* | February 10, 2007
One really has to wonder if the rabid environmentalist scaremongers ever get tired of the “Global Warming deniers are like Holocaust deniers” train of fallacious thought that runs through their vacuous heads. Well, if Ellen Goodman is any indication the answer to that question is a resounding no.
On the day that the latest report on global warming was released, I went out and bought a light bulb. OK, an environmentally friendly, compact fluorescent light bulb.
No, I do not think that if everyone lit just one little compact fluorescent light bulb, what a bright world this would be. Even the Prius in our driveway doesn’t do a whole lot to reduce my carbon footprint, which is roughly the size of the Yeti lurking in the (melting) Himalayas.
But it was either buying a light bulb or pulling the covers over my head. And it was too early in the day to reach for that kind of comforter.
By every measure, the U N ’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change raises the level of alarm. The fact of global warming is “unequivocal.” The certainty of the human role is now somewhere over 90 percent. Which is about as certain as scientists ever get.
I would like to say we’re at a point where global warming is impossible to deny. Let’s just say that global warming deniers are now on a par with Holocaust deniers, though one denies the past and the other denies the present and future.

I continue to like to point out that despite what the Global Warming is not manmade deniers like Ms. Goodman would like us to believe there is no where near a 90% “certainty” that Global Warming is manmade. I can say this because, as I have pointed out at length, the Earth heated and cooled long before evil man started burning fossil fuels. Knowing that there is no way any scientist without an agenda can say such crap.
What Ellen and her alarmist, agenda driven friends continue to do is look at the evidence they want to look at and ignore anything that contradicts them. Then they pronounce “90% certainty” has been achieved.
There also was a time that there was 90% certainty that the Earth was flat and that magical dragons caused eclipses by swallowing the moon too. We see how good those theories which were also based on limited, partial and often skewed observations of the natural world worked out too don’t we?
It’s funny how the left is so frightened of anyone that disagrees with their precious theories of Global Warming that they resort to likening them to Hilter’s NAZIs and atrocities against the Jews. But I guess when the only leg you are standing on is so wobbly you have to scare people into not wanting to come over and just kick it right out from under you.
Won’t work Ellen. Again, I restate that when the weatherman can accurately predict the weather for the next year I will consider listening to predictions by so-called scientists (who ultimately shun the scientific method) about the weather ten, twenty or a hundred years from now.
