Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has said he will not renew the licence for the country’s second largest TV channel which he says expires in March 2007.In an address to troops, Mr Chavez said he would not tolerate media outlets working towards a coup against him.
Radio Caracas Television, which is aligned with the opposition, supported a strike against Mr Chavez in 2003.
But the TV’s head said there must be some mistake as its licence was not up for renewal in the near future.
Marcel Granier also vowed to fight against the president’s plans in Venezuela’s courts and on the international stage.
The BBC’s Greg Morsbach in Caracas says Mr Chavez has repeatedly threatened to take the TV off the air but has never given a date.

R.T. King said.
“They weren’t going unless they were arrested,” King told The Associated Press. He said Cheney’s motorcade was among the vehicles delayed by the demonstration.

The following stems from Danny Bonaduce turning the tables on a moonbat conspiracy theorist who was so flabbergasted with Bonaduce’s come back to his “I have the First Amendment” whine that he couldn’t even continue the impromptu interview!
BONADUCE RECEIVING DEATH THREATS FOR BUSH SUPPORTFormer “Partridge Family” star Danny Bonaduce is terrified for his life after speaking out in support of President George W. Bush earlier this month.
The actor has been forced to alert the FBI after receiving a string of death threats following an impromptu video interview which portrayed him as a advocate of the war in Iraq. It was subsequently circulated on file sharing Web site YouTube.com.
Bonaduce claims he’s been flooded with hate mail, and even his 12-year-old daughter’s online social networking site has been targetted with images of maimed Iraqi children.
He tells the New York Daily News, “If (the interviewer) had personally offended me or I got death threats and I didn’t have children, I would have tracked him down and kicked his skull in, and that would have been the end of that.
“But I have children, and you can’t behave like that anymore.”
The interviewer, known only as “9/11 Truther,” runs an extremist Web site accusing Bush of Satanism, among other things.
Why is it that the wackos always have to go overboard? There are plenty of legitimate things to complain about with President George Bush from expanding unconstitutional government welfare programs to kowtowing to illegal aliens without bringing up Skull and Bones and Satanism theories!
And like a good little moonbat, everyone else is “delusional” to him.
He denies any connection to the death threats, maintaining, “I think (Bonaduce’s) delusional. And if you’re going to quote me, it’s a ‘drug-damaged mind’.”
This from a guy who is too scared to even use his real name? What a brave “reporter” he is. The only person that is “delusional” in this instance is “9/11 Truther” who thinks that people other than other rabid moonbats take him seriously.
All you have to do is read the comment from meowmeow to understand this. “Good. Bush supporters should be targeted, and their seed wiped from the face of the planet. There is no room in my heart for them.”
Hey “meowmeow” come on over and “target” me and put your money where your mouth is. Think you can outrun a bullet fired from my gun?

Fifty-two percent (52%) agree with the statement that “Government is not the solution to our problems. Government is the problem.” Thirty-three percent (33%) disagree.Now I am sure that while 52% say this, the moment that you even think about taking away one penny from their personal favorite government entitlement program (Social Security, Welfare, etc.) 95% of that 52% will scream bloody murder. Call it a hunch.On the positive side however, this is still good news because only 33% of America is certain that socialism is definitely the way to go!

Was Baker In Bed With Iraq Too?
Former Secretary of State James Baker was involved in a cover-up of illegal trading by his law firm with the regime of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, according to a former contractor who did work for Mr. Baker’s firm.
Mr. Baker used non-Americans to help acquire funds from Iraq in violation of the United Nations embargo and U.S. law, the former contractor said.
Nir Gouaz, an Israeli security veteran, said that in 1999 Mr. Baker’s leading deputy at the law firm of Baker Botts ordered him to destroy all documents that detailed how he obtained from Iraq more than $250 million for a client.
Mr. Baker’s firm has denied Mr. Gouaz’s account.
But the Israeli said he has documents that could destroy Mr. Baker’s reputation.
Could be nothing more than a baseless claim. But if true would it really surprise anyone?
