First they were unable to get John “Cut and Run” Murtha to be Majority Leader in the House. Now it looks like they will not get their way and have impeached judge Alcee Hastings at the head of the House Intelligence Committee.

Hastings won’t chair House Intelligence

WASHINGTON - NBC News has learned incoming Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has told Rep. Alcee Hastings, D- Fla., that he will not be the Chairman of the House Select Committee on Intelligence.

According to a Democratic congressional aide, who spoke on condition of anonymity, Pelosi told Hastings her decision and has not yet decided who will be given the position when the new Congress convenes in January.

Of course there will still be plenty of far left wing, nanny state supporters in position of power in the Congress so the battles are not over. Well, it looks like Nancy Pelosi is being held (kicking and screaming mind you) to her promise to clean up the House.
