Rasmussen Poll 61% Believe Tax Hikes Hurt Economy
J.J. Jackson* | November 14, 2006
In a glimmer of hope that the American people are not totally ignorant on economics, Rasmussen Reports has conducted a poll showing that 61% of Americans understand that raising taxes is bad for the economy. Only 16% (disciples or indoctrinates of Karl Marx) said that raising taxes helped the economy.
Not a good issue considering several prominent Democrats threw out that they were not in favor of the Bush tax cuts during the election.
Don’t worry though. When liberals (be they Republican or Democrat) decide to raise taxes they’ll just make sure to do it on the “rich” and convince enough of that 61% majority that the “rich” can afford it.
