More Democrat Broken Promises?

Tester denied spot on Appropriations Committee
WASHINGTON — Democrats assigned a heavy workload of six committee posts to incoming Montana Sen. Jon Tester on Tuesday but did not award him the Appropriations seat they promised last month would be his someday.
As the election grew close, the Senate Democratic leader had vowed to give Tester a spot on the Appropriations panel “as soon as possible.” GOP incumbent Sen. Conrad Burns had made the federal dollars he delivered to Montana through his seat on the panel and his seniority a cornerstone of his campaign.
In other words, prove your self a loyal Democrat and we’ll let you fleece the American public for pork barrel projects in your state.
Keep and eye out to see if they every keep their “promise”. I get the strange vision of Democrats telling Mr. Tester the same thing Bill Clinton told the American public after he failed to deliver on his promise of tax cuts. “Heh, Ya know I tried really hard. Ya’ll know I did. But I just couldn’t make it happen. Heh!”
The Senate Appropriations Committee is where much of the unconstitutional spending our tax dollars go for gets approved.
