Rights group criticizes Saddam trial
Seattle Post Intelligencer
AP. NEW YORK — Human Rights Watch said Monday that the trial of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein was not carried out fairly, calling the verdict “questionable” and saying the Iraqi court was not equipped to handle such a complex case.
Saddam Hussein’s trial is “complex”? Was he or was he not the leader of the nation and did he or did he not murder his own people in a manner reminiscent of Hitler, Mao and Stalin?
If that is too “complex” of a case for Human Rights Watch I can only recommend that they stick to reading the Cat in the Hat or Garfield cartoons. Ok, scratch the Garfield cartoons. I think even lasagna jokes are too “complex” for these morons.
