Keeping An Eye On The “Price Gougers”

I added 15.2 gallons of gasoline to my HHR this weekend for $33.42. I like to keep people informed about how much the evil price gougers are reaping from me each time I fill up so here it goes!

Federal Government: $2.74 (8.2%)
Pennsylvania State Government: $4.86 (14.5%)
Total Gasoline Taxes: $7.60 (22.7%) – 100% PURE Profit

And neither of them did a damn thing to help that gasoline get into my tank. If anything they make it infinitely harder than it should be for me to fill up my tank. Pretty sweet gig! Do nothing and get paid for it!
