Democrats/Liberals Are The Ones Playing the Race Card
J.J. Jackson | October 26, 2006
And this is a prime example:
OPINION(October 26, 2006) — The people behind the Swiftboat ads that attacked John Kerry in the 2004 presidential race are at it again. This time they’re playing the race card and their target is Harold Ford, the Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate in Tennessee. Shameful. And get this: They actually think the ad, which features a scantily clad blonde who says she met “Harold” at a Playboy party, is funny. After telling viewers how she partied with the Tennessee congressman, who is running a neck-and-neck race for the Senate, the woman coos, “Harold, call me.”
Since when is playing on the fears of interracial dating and stirring racial prejudices funny? That’s particularly so in a state with a history of racial segregation.
Now anyone that has seen the ad knows damn well that there is nothing racial about it. Fears of interracial dating? WTF? Are you morons at the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle living in some sort of dream world? Or perhaps you are simply projecting your own racial prejudices upon others?
Ok so NOW you are never ever ever allowed to show a white woman in the same ad as a black man without fear of being portrayed as harboring prejudices apparently. You will note that they are not refuting any of the actual claims in the ad. That says more than this bozo ever could no matter how many words he or she would write.
But I guess when all you have to offer is higher taxes and more government control over our lives you probably really don’t want to talk about the issues that much huh?
