Democrats Starting To Express Concern

Here’s something that is unusual considering how you hear about how strong the Democrats believe they are in Congressional races this year; a Democrat expressing concern.
Concern Growing Over State Democratic TicketSACRAMENTO, Calif. — California may be a blue state, but there is growing concern in Democratic circles not just about the governor’s race, but also about the prospect of losing other statewide offices as well.
Entering the two-week final dash, Democrat Phil Angelides is talking up his prospects for a come-from-behind win.
“And there is a Democratic wave coming across the country and it’s going to come to California,” Angelides said.
But with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger enjoying a healthy lead in recent polls, there is growing worry in Democratic circles about losses in races lower down the ballot, such as lieutenant governor or insurance commissioner.
“You have to worry that the only thing going for you is are you a Democrat or are you a Republican? Sometimes, there’s a presumption that people will just go right down the ticket and vote all Democrats. That’s happened less and less each cycle,” Democratic consultant Gale Kaufman said.
Howard Dean better reign this loose cannon in! There cannot be dissention in the ranks!
