Democrats – The Single Issue Party In 2006?
J.J. Jackson | August 9, 2006
Yesterday flaming liberal, socialist, anti-war Democrats in Connecticut decided that, even though Senator Joe Liberman who himself is a flaming liberal socialist Democrat was not also anti-war they no longer wanted his services. So they voted for Ned Lamont who won them over on the issue they care about more than anything – the War on Terror.
Lamont beat Lieberman in the Democratic primary 52 to 48 percent. Now you might notice that those numbers are quite a bit closer than the vaunted polls showed. For weeks we were told Lamont would win by double digits with only recent polls attempting to show a more realistic result so as not to look completely biased.
Problem for the far lefties is that Liberman will most likely get reelected to the Senate as he is vowing to run as an Independent. Realize that many voters in the State are “Independents” who could not have even voted in the primary and that most of these “Independents” are still screaming socialist liberal Democrats who are still anti-war but not as virulently so as the rabid moonbat base. The left still will probably not get it’s ideal candidate in this election come November. They will have to settle for a socialist pro-war Liberman returning to the Senate instead.
But at least they have tipped their hand with a mighty Dean-like RAAAAAHR!
