Think The “Leftist” Candidate Lost In Mexico? Think Again.
J.J. Jackson* | July 8, 2006
It has been readily reported this week that the leftists were defeated in the Mexican elections this week.
“Election officials have announced that the conservative candidate, Felipe Calder?n, defeated Andr?s Manuel L?pez Obrador, the leftist former mayor of Mexico City, by 243,000 votes” - The Courier Journal
However if you believe this hype think again. Calder?n may not be as overtly left wing as Obrador was but he still thinks that the United States protecting it’s borders is a bad thing and that other countries should help out Mexico with money (i.e. Communism).
MEXICO CITY ? Felipe Calder?n on Friday took sides in the battle over immigration, blasting a U.S. congressional plan to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border while endorsing a U.S. Senate proposal that would offer a route to legal citizenship for millions of undocumented Mexicans living in the United States.“The solution for migration is not to build walls,” he said.
Calder?n also called for a joint development fund among Mexico, the United States and Canada that would finance public-works construction in poor areas of Mexico. - The Seattle Times
Yep, you heard right. We have the “means” and he has the “need” so “GIMME GIMME GIMME!”
So let’s stop calling Calder?n a “conservative” ok? Yeah he’s about as “conservative” as many in the Republican Party but they aren’t very “conservative” as a whole either.
There is a new communist block forming. But this time it is forming south of our border.
