Lefties are so desperate these days that they are going to say ANYTHING to try and discredit the opposition. Well, I guess when your entire argument is nothing more than “XXX lied” and “XXX is Hitler” you pretty much have conceded defeat.
Check out this moonbat at YouTube. Why do I get the feeling this guy just sits around in his underwear beating off to Howard Dean talking about how evil conservatives are?
The short of it:
He claims FOX had to edit footage of Robert Wexler on the Colbert Report to make it look like he was talking about doing drugs. Thus, he asserts, FOX News is evil and even some fellow moonbats jump in to defend his assertion. He claims that because Mr. Wexler only said the comments (which was in one of Colbert’s typical JOKE skits where he asks silly questions) after being coached that him saying the comments is invalid and … I suppose … a sign of some Vast Right Wing Conspiracy.
And while your average FOX News viewer is smart enough to know that they always play a joke skit from one of the comedy shows at the conclusion of this broadcast, apparently lefties aren’t.
What Fox News did was condense the video clip to fit into the alotted time without changing the meaning. It is like when I cite the freedom of speech clause of the First Amendment as “Congress shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech”

Personally I think while Robert Wexler showed a sense of humor in playing along it was incredibly stupid for him to do so.
TimALoftis (the moonbat who submitted the video) would have had a case if, for example, Fox News had truncated a clip of him saying “I don’t enjoy cocaine because it is a fun thing to do” into “I enjoy cocaine because it is a fun thing to do”. But then again, he probably also believes all the left wing blogs that still mysteriously quote George Bush falsely claiming Iraq is an “imminent threat” too.
