CHICAGO ? The American Medical Association on Tuesday overwhelmingly agreed to back a campaign to halve the amount of sodium in restaurant and processed foods during the next 10 years.

The nation’s largest doctors group also urged the Food and Drug Administration to revoke rules that have allowed sodium to go unregulated for decades. - The Seattle Times

How unusal! A bunch of nebby anti-freedom socialists who think they know how best for you to live your life are asking the federal government to tell you how and what to eat? It can’t be! Can it?

You’d better believe it!

Apparently the AMA has nothing better to do than ask the government to regulate our lives. You know - that is so much more important than say finding a cure for AIDS or something …]

The AMA said to criticism of it’s ideas “excess sodium greatly increases the chance of developing hypertension, heart disease and stroke.” No, what causes greatly increased chances of “hypertension, heart disease and stroke” is having to respond to this crap on a daily basis.
