Natalie Maines Continues To Trash Patriots!
J.J. Jackson* | June 17, 2006
From Coalition of the Swilling (with props to Michelle Malkin)
“A lot of pandering started going on, and you’d see soldiers and the American flag in every video. It became a sickening display of ultra-patriotism.”
“The entire country may disagree with me, but I don’t understand the necessity for patriotism,” Maines resumes, through gritted teeth. “Why do you have to be a patriot? About what? This land is our land? Why? You can like where you live and like your life, but as for loving the whole country? I don’t see why people care about patriotism.” - Telegraph
So I guess since she doesn’t understand a “necessity for patriotism” I guess that means that she has none? She is not a patriot? Well that explains EVERYTHING!
Oh but the story continues as the author comments
There can be no rational explanation of how Maines’s remark came to drive a red-hot poker into America’s divided soul, but it’s only now that some of the poison has begun to dissipate.
This is rich! No “rational explanation”? Gee let’s try this one. You run to foreign soil, say you are embarrassed by the President during a time of war and then you whine when your fans don’t want to listen to your music? No rational explanation indeed!
I hate to break it to the author of this piece (Adam Sweeting) but as long as you keep reporting on Maine’s comments there ain’t gonna be a whole lot of “dissipating” going on.
Might want to look into how poorly their ticket sales are doing here in the States before you make crazy comments like that. And how do the Dixie Twits explain away their problems?
“I think for longevity’s sake, our music had to mature and we had to mature as people,” says Maguire. “Not that this particular event had to happen, but it sped up the process for us and helped us make a record that’s really meaningful to us, whether or not other people see that.”
That’s right, all you fans that bought their records and are now no longer supporting them are just immature, uncultured red necks. To HELL with you! That’s the way liberals always couch the lack of acceptance their views get. They call those of you that don’t like them names and claim that their are simply more “mature” with a better understanding of the way the world really works.
But in the long run all they prove themselves to be are hacks whose ideas and beliefs fail every damn time they are tried.
