Murtha Needs To Worry About Winning First

Rep. John “Cut and Run” Murtha (D-PA) has grandiose plans come next year - he wants to be Majority Leader.

“If we prevail as I hope and know we will and return to the majority this next Congress, I’ve decided to run for the open seat of majority leader.” - WJACTV.com

Three things of course have to happen for this wet dream of his to happen.

First, he has to fend off challenger Diana Irey who is pulling in donations from almost every state in the Union and from veterans to attempt to defeat Murtha. Murtha has been best described by friends of mine in the Corps as “One of the few cases of a truly ex-Marine”. They are of course speaking about his actions and words, which they call extremely un-Marine like.

Second the Democrats have to manage to swing about 15 seats into their favor. Considering they were unable to win a Republican seat that was held by a corrupt Republican before he was put behind bars their “culture of corruption” theme doesn’t seem to be working too well. Chances are it wont work in a November run for the House majority either. Looks like it is time to get a new plan! It shouldn’t be too hard. After all liberals jump around from topic to topic and claim to claim so fast that I am sure they can come up with a new battle cry in about 5 minutes.

And thirdly, if Murtha wants the Majority Leader position he is going to have to avoid assassination attempts by Nancy Pelosi because she wants it for herself. Then there is the Congressional Black Caucus. No doubt they’ll also put a hit out on Murtha to try and install either William “Cold Hard Cash” Jefferson or Cynthia “Whack a Police Officer” McKinney.
