In 20 Years Will Global Cooling Be Back In Style?

I caught this article by Kyle Smith of the NY Post entitled FLAKY FLICK SUFFERS FROM ‘TRUTH’ DECAY about Al Gore’s fictional “An Inconvenient Truth”. Smith’s article is a pretty good overview and the fact that it has been rated at 1 star tells me that he certainly struck a bad chord with liberal enviro-Marxists, you know, the same ones that rush over to Amazon and post reviews of books they’ve never read with such in-depth commentary as “This book sucks” or “It’s all lies” or “More right wing propaganda! Do not buy it!”

Is there Global Warming? Hmmm. Yeah, the Earth certainly, according to some studies seems to have warmed slightly since the 70s but satelite data says that even that may not be nearly as great as surface recordings indicate. The question is is it caused by mankind, industrialization and evil capitalism however which is what the enviro-Marxists are really trying to say. Evidence over the past even 250 or so years says that such a theory is hogwash.

During colonial America temperatures were much cooler than they are today. Remember the picture of Washington crossing the nearly frozen Delaware River? Then industrialization kicked in and the temperatures started to warm. But because of man? Hmmm. Problem with that would be trying to explain how between 1940 - 1970 temperatures started to once again drop during a time of heavy industrialization. This is when the enviro-Marxists started to warn about Global Cooling. Then when temperatures started to rise even as industry was becoming cleaner and more efficient they changed their tune to Global Warming as the problem.

So what is really the “inconvenient truth”? I’d say that it is that the enviro-Marxists can’t support their theory that global warming is caused because of mankind and their evil ways. Especially now as some studies are starting to show that the Earth’s temperatures are leveling out and possibly heading for another cooling cycle.

I wonder if in 20 years when global cooling is back in vogue if anyone will remember Al Gore’s movie. Heck I wonder if in 20 years Al Gore will make another movie talking about the threat from advancing glaciers.
