Hillary Clinton Ticks off Liberals

…but she basically agrees with President Bush! On the war at least and if and when we should get out.
Clinton showed up Tuesday for a speech at the “Take Back America” conference, put on by a liberal group called the Campaign for America’s future … she came to [the topic of] Iraq. “I do not think it is a smart strategy,” she said, “either for the President to continue with his open-ended commitment, which I think does not put enough pressure on the new Iraqi government, nor do I think it is smart strategy to set a date certain.” Members of the crowd yelled, “Why Not?” There was loud booing. It was almost impossible to hear Clinton as she spoke - Time Magazine
John “War Criminal” Kerry was latter cheered as he called his vote to support the Iraq war a mistake.
You can almost hear Hillary’s Presidential aspirations fading. She’s not going to trick enough of moderate or even conservative America to vote for her by trying to appear strong on defense. And she’s certainly not going to win the hearts and hearts of the moonbats like those in attendance at this gathering.
But here’s the deal, Clinton has basically said that she agrees with President Bush’s strategy on Iraq which is that we will stay until the job is finished. Yes, I know she tried to claim (liberals like to make unsubstantiated claims) that his commitment was “open-ended” trying to imply that we are going to be there forever no matter what. But the fact of the matter is that President Bush has time and again articulated that such is not the case.
When the job is done we bring the boys home. That is the plan. And that is how we support the troops - by supporting the mission.
