Press Hyping REpsonse To Murtha?

Following up on this post concerning Congressman John “Cut & Run” Murtha’s recent graduation speech tirade I am wondering if the AP is hyping the response he got?

More than half of Seton Hill’s 204 graduating seniors gave Murtha a standing ovation. The small, Catholic, liberal arts university is in the heart of Murtha’s 12th Congressional District, which he has represented since 1974. - CentreDaily.com

However this morning Jim Quinn read an email from someone that attended the event. The story told is quite a bit different.

Forgive me as I must paraphrase. Essentially not even half of the seniors stood in a “standing ovation”. Apparently only some moonbats did. Rather most simply remained seated and gave what was described as “Ok, let’s be polite and applaud” applause. Some students also reportedly walked out.

Which account is true? Hard to tell. Would be nice to see if someone snapped a picture so we could tell either way. Guess we’ll see how many people agree with Murtha this fall as he squares off against Diana Irey.
