Newdow’s Back And As Nutty As Ever
J.J. Jackson* | May 10, 2006
His target? “In God We Trust” on our money.
The California atheist known for his legal challenge against the Pledge of Allegiance is in court arguing the national motto “In God We Trust” is unconstitutional.Michael Newdow, who filed a 162-page complaint against the president and Congress, will argue his case in federal district court in Sacramento May 19.
The national public-interest Thomas More Law Center has filed a brief supporting the United States government’s motion to dismiss the suit. - WorldnetDaily
Newdow claims
“I couldn’t care less what anyone believes. I just care that our government treats everybody equally.”
Which is actually not true. He actually DOES care what other people, including our founders, believe in and is Hell bent to make sure that the truth about those beliefs not be first recognized and second rewritten out of history.
If the words “In God We Trust” or “Under God” are offensive to him and inherently don?t treat people equally because they exists on our money or a pledge of allegiance then our Constitution and Declaration of Independence are next. Both after all recognize God. The Constitution for example grants Sunday as a day of rest when the President is not required to consider legislation for veto and also contains the clear and unambiguous notification that it was “Done in Convention by the Unanimous Consent of the States present the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven and of the Independence of the United States of America the Twelfth In witness whereof We have hereunto subscribed our Name”.
Newdow is either one very stupid or two very smart.
If he is stupid it means that he doesn’t think ahead to the truth of his arguments. However if he is smart it means he knows exactly what he is doing and if he can successfully argue before some moonbat judge that “In God We Trust” is unconstitutional to have on our money then he knows that he can make a run at overturning our Constitution in the courts too.
He’ll fail miserably out side of the ninth circus court of appeals though. But the liberals on the west coast will no doubt keep opening the door for frivolous lawsuits from him.
