Like Father Like Son?

We all know Ole Teddy Kennedy, Senator from Massachucettes has a problem keeping his car on the road. Unfortunately for Mary Jo Kopechne that problem cost her her life when Teddy left her for dead in 1969 without notifying police until the next morning that his car was upside down in the creek. Well apparently his son has a problem behind the wheel of a car too.
Matt Drudge is reporting:
Police labor union officials asked acting Chief Christopher McGaffin this afternoon to allow a Capitol Police officer to complete his investigation into an early-morning car crash involving Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.), son of Sen. Ted Kennedy.ROLL CALL reports: According to a letter sent by Officer Greg Baird, acting chairman of the USCP FOP, the wreck took place at approximately 2:45 a.m. Thursday when Kennedy’s car, operating with its running lights turned off, narrowly missed colliding with a Capitol Police cruiser and smashed into a security barricade at First and C streets Southeast.
?The driver exited the vehicle and he was observed to be staggering,? Baird?s letter states. Officers approached the driver, who ?declared to them he was a Congressman and was late to a vote. The House had adjourned nearly three hours before this incident. It was Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy from Rhode Island.?
This is also apparently not the young Kennedy’s first problem keeping his car on the road or run in with law enforcement.
On March 26th, 2000, Kennedy tried to pull a Cynthia McKinney and cut past security. CNN reports:
LOS ANGELES (CNN) — Officials from Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday released a video of a March 26 altercation between Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-Rhode Island) and airport security guard Della Patton. In the video, Patton is seen telling Kennedy that one of his carry-on bags is too big to fit through the X-ray machine. He then grabs one of his smaller bags and attempts to rush through the metal detector, but she blocks his path.
As he tries to pass, he grabs her shoulder and appears to give her a quick shove, shaking the arch of the metal detector.
On April 12, 2002 he settled a civil case out of court.
The moonbats on the left will sit there and talk about George Bush?s previous drinking problem from decades ago and how people not even guilty of crimes should be impeached. I wonder how many of them will be yucking it up over Kennedy and the entitlement culture that revolves around his clan.
But then again, when you’re a Democrat it’s different. Right?
