How Sweet, The Muslim Was “Offended”

Too bad being “offended” isn’t a reason to prevent someone from doing something like … oh say praying at a graduation ceremony.

A federal judge in Louisville, Kentucky, granted a temporary restraining order prohibiting a prayer from being said during graduation ceremonies at an area high school after a Muslim student on the planning committee objected and garnered the help of the American Civil Liberties Union.

Arshiya Saiyed, a senior at Russell County High School, said she was working on plans for the ceremony, scheduled for last night, with the senior panel when the issue came up, according to WHAS-TV in Louisville.

“Terms like Jesus Christ, heavenly father, I talked about the fact I was Muslim and the prayers in the past were offensive to me,” the 17-year-old said. - WorldNetDaily

Ok then, I assume that you are a faithful Muslim? And I also assume that you take the normal breaks during the day to pray as your religion requires? Probably sanctioned by the school as well? I am offended by that. Even if you don’t Arshiya there are many of your fellow Muslims who do. I am offended that on school time you or your fellow Muslims would pray according to your faith*. Therefor it must cease.

See? Works both ways you sniveling little brat. Too bad they don’t teach critical thinking in the schools any more.

*Note this is sarcasm. I personally don’t care. People should be allowed to freely practice their religion in public schools just like the Constitution guarntees.
