English Is Official … Well Not Really

WASHINGTON — The Senate on Thursday voted to make English the “national language” of the United States, declaring that no one has a right to federal communications or services in language other than English except for those already guaranteed by law. IndyStar.com
So in other words the Senate says that unless it is already in another law that you have a right to “federal communications or services in language other than English” then you don’t have a right to them. So what exactly was the point? Oh that’s right, there wasn’t a real point except to try and seem like they were actually accomplishing something.
