RSSWe Can Only Blame Ourselves!
During Bush’s first term in office, rumors of amnesty and the like were thrown about. Unfortunately, it took an event like September 11th, 2001 to put that kind of rubbish aside. For an extremely short while, President Bush actually seemed like he wanted Homeland Security.
Many of us stuck behind him and thought he was going to be good for America. Heck, he wanted to cut taxes, develop a Department of Homeland Security, and thwart terrorism.
Look where we are now. Taxes have been cut, but that is about it. The Department of Homeland Security is an even bigger joke than before when Customs, INS, and whatever other assortment of law enforcement agencies where under the Department Of Justice. Terrorism hasn’t struck our shores since, but I feel that is due to luck or possibly the terrorists lying low.
Does anyone who is reading this post actually think he or she is safer now than before September 11th, 2001? While our troops are overseas fighting a war with their hands tightly tied behind their backs, there is nothing to stop any terrorist from coming across any of our borders. With the human smuggling infrastructure already in place with our friendly neighbors to the south, what is to stop them? Maybe along with some Mexican’s quest to reach Aztlan, Osama bin Laden can shave his beard, learn some Spanish, and join in on the fun.
But, why are we constantly complaining? We knew that Bush was in love with Mexicans and held some special affliction for Vicente. Maybe it’s because Bush can speak better Spanish than he can English. I don’t know why, but it is obvious he cares more for that so-called country than he does for the one he swore to protect.
Even knowing all of this, we still voted for him. Why? Why did we vote for someone we knew didn’t stand for the ideals we knew were better for our country? Is it only because we were too afraid of what John Kerry would do?
The problem is we as Americans are too afraid to step out of our comfort zones long enough to take the power back to where it belongs: in our hands. We would rather just vote for whatever candidate we see on the television that we passed up people who may have done better.
I am guilty of this. I wanted to vote for Michael Peroutka, of the Constitution Party. Michael wanted to do what apparently very few politicians on Capitol Hill want to do: work for America.
Instead, like so many of us, I chose to vote for Bush because I felt that I was at least voting against Kerry.
Can anyone tell me what the difference might have been?
Folks, this election cycle, go beyond the Rs and the Ds and look for someone who holds your values. Voting strategically has strategically screwed us out of a country.
Inmate Wants You To Pay For His Sex Change
If you send them to God then you don’t have idiocy like this!
(CBS4) BOSTON A man convicted of killing his wife is again asking a judge for permission to get a sex-change operation.Robert Kosilek, who is now known as Michelle Kosilek, initially sued correction officials in Massachusetts four years ago, seeking treatment for gender identity disorder.
A federal judge has already agreed that Kosilek has a rare mental illness and allowed continued hormone treatments for the convicted killer who is serving a life sentence.
Well DUH! Of course he has a “mental illness”! He murdered his wife for Christ’s sake!
When you go to jail for a crime you forfeit a lot of your rights. It says so right in the 14th Amendment “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States”. And having the public pay for your loony sex change operation so that you can prove to people what we already know (i.e. YOU ARE NUTS!) isn’t even a right you have to begin with!
I’ll tell you what. Let’s make a deal. We, the taxpayers, will pay for “Michelle’s” sex change but ONLY if afterwards she let’s us put her into a permanent sleep via lethal injection, fry her in the electric chair or (my personal favorite) line her up in front of a firing squad and use her for target practice. I think it would be a fair tradeoff to remove one more leech from society and everyone gets what they want.

Soldier To Sue Michael Moore
Listen, we all know (at least those of us that aren’t moonbats do) that Michael Moore is a hack of the highest degree. And it sure would serve him right if his lies get him in real trouble.
A double-amputee Iraq-war vet is suing Michael Moore for $85 million, claiming the portly peacenik recycled an old interview and used it out of context to make him appear anti-war in “Fahrenheit 9/11.”Sgt. Peter Damon, 33, who strongly supports America’s invasion of Iraq, said he never agreed to be in the 2004 movie, which trashes President Bush.
In the 2003 interview, which he did at Walter Reed Army Hospital for NBC News, he discussed only a new painkiller the military was using on wounded vets.
“They took the clip because it was a gut-wrenching scene,” Damon said yesterday. “They sandwiched it in. [Moore] was using me as ammunition.”
Damon seems to “voice complaint about the war effort” in the movie, according to the lawsuit. - NY Post
All I have to say about this is how on Earth can we donate to this guy’s legal fund so that he can string Michael Moore up but his fat toes!

Socialized Medicine Crowd Back For Fight
Canadians Healthier Than Americans, Survey Says
05.30.06, 12:00 AM ETTUESDAY, May 30 (HealthDay News) — Canadians are healthier than Americans, have better access to health care and have fewer unmet health needs, a new study of both countries reveals.
The findings come in spite of the fact that the United States spends almost twice as much per capita on health care as Canada, the researchers noted.
“This shows that you can spend much less than we [Americans] do, and deliver much more and better care then we do,” said study co-author Dr. David U. Himmelstein, an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, Mass.
Yep, you heard right! They claim that because Canadians are healthier (actually in dispute when you read what this study did not cover) that “the researchers conclude that universal health care coverage should be implemented in the United States”.
And you thought Hillary Care was dead? HA!
However the study also discovered what I and others have been telling you for years, that to get medical care in Canada you have to wait longer. “Canadians were more likely to cite waiting times as their main obstacle to good care,” the study finds.
And as usual the devil, as the say, is in details - or lack there of.
Greg Scandlen, the founder of the non-profit Consumers for Health Care Choices based in Hagerstown, Md., disputed the findings.“In terms of overall satisfaction with the health care system, Americans score better,” noted Scandlen. “So, the headline coming out of this ought to be that ‘Americans are more satisfied with their healthcare system than Canadians are.‘”
Scandlen also criticized the way the study was conducted, noting that there was too much focus on routine health issues, to the relative exclusion of crisis situations that can demand more costly and dramatic interventions.
“Canada clearly emphasizes primary care pretty strongly, and I give them credit for that,” he said. But he added, “This survey doesn’t look at the more serious stuff, like surgery and cardiac care — serious, expensive things that apply to a minority of the population.“
First of all, “universal healthcare” is unconstitutional. I know that hasn’t stopped us from having other unconstitutional programs like Social Security, but I just thought that I would point out how people that promote these types of programs don’t really care what the law of the land says. Are those the kind of people you really want in charge?
I’d rather pay for my own health insurance than have some government bureaucrat telling me what is best for me. But as is always the case with Socialism and Communism it’s all or nothing … everyone has to be in otherwise the government cannot control you.
No thanks. I’d rather die on my feet than live on my knees waiting for a bureaucrat to decide what treatment I need.

Bush A “Right Wing Extremist”? Don’t We WISH!
Al Gore acts more and more like a Hollyweird liberal each day now that he has gone to the big screen with his documentary An Inconvenient Truth which is about as much of a documentary as Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 911 was.
Al Gore has made his sharpest attack yet on the George Bush presidency, describing the current US administration as “a renegade band of right-wing extremists”.In an interview with The Guardian on Wednesday, the former vice-president calls himself a “recovering politician” but launches into the political fray more explicitly than he has previously done during his high-profile campaigning on the threat of global warming.
Denying that his politics have shifted to the left since he lost the court battle for the 2000 election, Gore says: “If you have a renegade band of right-wing extremists who get hold of power, the whole thing goes to the right.” - Mail & Guardian Online
Of course old Al’s politics which push obscene government control as a means to save humans from themselves and their evil (like global warming) means that pretty much anyone to the right of Uncle Joe Stalin is a “Right Wing Extremist”.
God I hope the liberal moonbat base of Demcratic Party can convince him to run again 2008 so he can lose again.
Al, President Bush is not a “right wing extremist”. No “right wing extremist” would have signed campaign finance reform or be pandering to illegal aliens or for that matter expanding the welfare state.

American Legion Tells ACLU “COME GET SOME!”
Members of the group announced Thursday that they formed a group called Defense of Veterans’ Memorial Project. They said that they plan to launch efforts in the courts and state legislature to protect the cross.
Earlier this month, Judge Gordon Thompson ordered the city to remove the cross by Aug. 1 or pay $5,000-a-day fines.
“We’re giving notice to every agnostic, every atheist … every self-appointed, self-righteous attorney or member of the ACLU that we are going to fight,” said Rees Lloyd of the American Legion. - MBCSanDiego
If I were the left I wouldn’t go around pissing off people that could kill you from a couple hundred yards or that can slit your throat without you ever knowing they are upon you.
The Mount Soledad cross issue is important because if the asinine ruling by Judge Thompson is allowed to stand then every nead stone in the shape of a cross in a national cemetery would have to be removed under the false guise of “separation of church and state”.
But like I said, if you want to piss these guys off be my guest.

Google & Al Gore Snub Fallen Soldiers?
Quite frankly I had other things to do yesterday besides surf the web and honestly I don’t use Google that much because you usually have to wade through pages of liberal moonbat sites parroting the same debunked lies when trying to do a serious search for information. But according to WorldNetDaily (and others) Google didn’t spice up their logo for the holiday like they do for many others.
Google’s habit of celebrating holidays like New Year’s, Halloween, Christmas and Thanksgiving by altering its logo to match the season’s theme has been extended in the past to honor the birthdays of famous inventors, scientists, artists and musicians, as well as Earth Day and the Persian New Year, but on the day Americans honor those who died serving their country, it’s business as usual at the Internet-search giant.Memorial Day visitors to the website found Google’s standard logo ? but no mention of Memorial Day. This was true as well at the company’s news-search site.
Since 1999, Google has redesigned its logo for major holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving, as well as minor ones like Ground Hog Day and St. Patrick’s Day. It’s even honored artists like Picasso, Monet, and Andy Warhol as well as Earth Day and the Burning Man festival.
“If you go back through the Google archives, you’ll find that, although it has over the years commemorated Shichi-go-san being celebrated in Japan, Bastille Day in France, and Korean Liberation Day, it appears that Google has never dressed up its logo for Memorial Day,” wrote Newsbusters blogger Noel Sheppard.
And of course in case you haven’t been paying attention Al “Lost in the Ozone” Gore is a senior advisor to the search engine company which is why I include him in the title. But that is only fitting since, as has been previously reported to death, Google overwhelmingly donates to moonbatty Democrats.

If Ds And Rs Are Serious Impeach Jefferson
A lot of people in Congress give lip service to fighting the “culture of corruption”. However aside from that lip service most of the time each side is more busy and concerned with pointing fingers at the other side and making unfounded accusations about the other side’s members with the Democrats edging out the Republicans slightly in their faux fury.
However we have before Congress a real case that amounts to exactly what the founding fathers meant the impeachment procedures granted in the Constitution to be used for. Congressman William Jefferson is in pretty much deep doo doo. It is going to take some serious spin to explain how $90k of the $100k he was caught on tape accepting as a bribe was found in his possession. It’s a far cry from Tom DeLay being accused of a crime that wasn’t a crime when the crime was committed for example.
Instead we have House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi calling politely for Jefferson to simply resign his seat on the Ways and Means Committee. If she was serious she would have drawn up articles of impeachment already and submitted them. Heck she could have won some brownie points with me for doing that even though she is a stark raving mad liberal. And what harm would it have done? Absolutely none because the Congress, both Republicans and Democrats, really aren’t interested in cleaning up clear cases of corruption and impeaching their own. Few would have voted to proceed and that is what is really sad beyond all else.

Slippery Slope Time Again
I’ve never been a fan of legislation that bans moonbat and other assorted liberals from making asses out of themselves. The Constitution says that our citizens have a right to peaceably assemble and that right should be respected even if they are anti-American and anti-military butt holes.
At the White House, Bush signed the Respect for America?s Fallen Heroes Act,? passed by Congress largely in response to the activities of a Kansas church group that has staged protests at military funerals around the country, claiming the deaths symbolized God?s anger at U.S. tolerance of homosexuals.The new law bars protests within 300 feet of the entrance of a national cemetery and within 150 feet of a road into the cemetery. This restriction applies an hour before until an hour after a funeral. Those violating the act would face up to a $100,000 fine and up to a year in prison. - Rockford Register Star
My solution to this situation has always been simple. Rather than passing a law against them protesting we should simply just turn a blind eye as soldiers, veterans and other patriotic Americans pummel them to a bloody pulp.
Some will complain that my solution would trample their rights as citizens to protest. I say that if they don’t respect those that died to protect their freedoms then they are basically saying that they don’t want them anyway and that they don’t care about their own liberties. There is no lower form of scum than one that would spit on the grave of a dead soldier who died defending their right to be an idiot.

Private Fence Goes Up Along Border
After years of federal and state government not doing a much of anything about illegal aliens crossing into the United States from Mexico, the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps with the help of private funding has begun construction of a fence.
PALOMINAS, Arizona ? Minuteman border watch volunteers began putting up new fencing Saturday on a cattle ranch along the southeastern Arizona border with Mexico, intent on building impediments to a flood of illegal immigration until the federal government takes up the task.Ranchers Jack and John Ladd were hopeful, though hardly confident, that the fencing will spell some relief on their father-and-son spread from the illegal immigrants, drug runners and cattle meandering across from Mexico.
The Ladds’ ranch stretches across more than 10 miles (16 kilometers) of the border with Mexico and they have struggled for years with those cut their fence ? or just drive over it ? to cross their land and enter the United States.
“We’ve been fighting this thing for 10 years with the fence, and nobody will do anything,” said son Jack Ladd. - Fox News
While a fence will not solve of of the nation’s illegal immigration problems it is part of a solution which must also include actual punishment for illegals that are caught (i.e. no more catch and release) and cracking down on employers who hire illegal aliens.
Some have said that cracking down on employers is not a solution. And many employers of illegals have whined about such proposals. However the truth is that knowingly hiring an illegal alien is aiding and abetting a criminal which is illegal. So you’re going to have to deal with it.
