Rendell On Board With Windfall Profits Tax
J.J. Jackson* | April 25, 2006
OF COURSE HE IS!
Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell Monday called upon President Bush to end “profiteering” by oil companies and to tap their record-breaking profits to provide relief to consumers.“Consumers and businesses are trying to find ways to cope, but gasoline prices keep rising,” Rendell said. “The president needs to act now. Oil companies should not be permitted to drain Americans’ bank accounts to collect record-breaking profits.” - Philadelphia Business Journal
Hey Fast Eddie? How much is the State of Pennsylvania (for which you are the Governor) making per gallon sold?
$0.32 PER GALLON
Way, way, way more than the average profit per gallon of the oil companies!
Can we put a windfall profits tax on Fast Eddie Rendell and the PA State government?
Of course not! Because liberals never have an actual cure to the ailment, they only know how to blame someone else. And Fast Eddie is fighting for his political future in this election year against Republican challenger Lynn Swann so he is going to demagogue any issue he can to resecure his power.
Hey Eddie, where’s my property tax relief you promised? Hmm?
