Well DUH! That’ What BIG GOVERNMENT Causes!

Is it just me or does it seem like the left can never make up it’s mind? When they are in control of the big government bureaucracy it isn’t a problem. But when they are not it is EVIL!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry accused the Bush administration on Tuesday of falling behind in its goal to make high-speed Internet service, known as broadband, universally available by 2007. - Reuters

First of all a question. Where in the Constitution does the federal government gain control over making broadband “universally available”? I dare say if it wasn’t for layers of unconstitutional bureaucracy it probably would be!

“Despite the president’s promise of ubiquitous broadband by 2007, we are clearly, now well into 2006, short of that goal,” Kerry said at a Senate Commerce Committee hearing. “Only 40 percent of households in America have it.”

Again, so? Maybe I just have to keep beating this stick upside his head a little longer.

Is there some sort of “right” to broadband now? Ask Al Gore. He should know. He DID invent the internet after all.

“It seems, incredibly, the FCC is sitting on the rulemaking that will help correct this problem,” Kerry said.

Ok, last time. Bureaucracies move SLOWLY! Here’s an idea. Get rid of the bureaucracy and get with the program we like to call “free markets”. The federal government shouldn’t be involved in this at all!
