HERALD STAFF REPORTSARASOTA
Planned Parenthood today announced it will have a rally in Sarasota to protest South Dakota’s abortion ban.The organization wants to send a message to the Florida Legislature that women’s health and safety must always be protected, according to a Planned Parenthood press release.
The rally is planned for noon, Thursday on the corners of Ringling Boulevard and U.S. 301, near the courthouse.“Planned Parenthood is putting Florida politicians on notice: think twice before playing politics with women’s health in this state,” said Wendy Grassi in a press release. Grassi is director of public affairs for Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida. HeraldToday.com
Oh, I see it more clear now, Planned Parenthood. The reason why you would mutilate a child is for the safety and health concerns of the woman. Why, it makes so much sense now.
I was never aware that pregnancy was an illness up until this point. Wow, this changes everything.
This means my mother was sick for at least nine months of my life and still kept me around. Lord only knew what was in store for her with all the migraines I would give her later.
Gee, Planned Parenthood, thanks for clearing this whole thing up. For the longest time, I thought an abortion terminated the life of a child and thus killed it. But thanks to your words of wisdom, I now see that this is all done for the health and safety of the woman, who could have exercised more self-control prior to being in your office having her child mutilated.
This whole time, I thought it was the job of the American Government to actually protect the rights of all Americans, even those who have to live inside that poor innocent woman’s womb. But, since pregnancy is now a sickness, I guess that whole, “life, liberty and pursuit of happiness” thing is thrown out the window.
Before today, Planned Parenthood, I used to wish very terrible things for your future, but not any longer. You see, I was standing oustide of the Federal Courthouse in Tucson, Arizona today to show my support for South Dakota. As I was doing so, I was praying my rosary because I knew I was going to have to call on the Lord’s strength to endure some of the harrassment I knew was coming from such enlighted people who show me their IQ with the tallest finger on their hand.
As usual, there were some people giving me that hand gesture. For as many as did, there were probably five to ten more who gave me a thumbs up or a wave. Some people said rude comments as they were driving at fifteen miles an hour. It never amazes me that physics has not reached these folks. What might have sounded like a very intelligent thing to say (although I doubt anyone on the pro-death side has anything intelligent to say), is going to sound like unintelligible gibberish coming from outside a moving vehicle. Then again, that was probably more intelligent that what the people actually had to say in the first place.
But, you know, thanks be to God, something changed inside of me today. Instead of wanting to return the gesture, or use some of the vernacular I picked up while serving as a United States Marine, I prayed for them. I prayed that the Lord touch their hearts like he’s touched mine. I prayed that they could see the error of their ways, repent, and work towards a better future: one without abortions.
So, that is what I will do for you now, Planned Parenthood. I will pray for you. As it stands, I consider the work you do to be murder, plain and simple. I consider you murderers and condemmable human beings. However, just like me, God loves you. God wants you to receive His love and be part of His flock. God is not pro-choice.
I will continue to protest against all that you support, but I will from this point on wish you well and hope that you let God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, making the Holy Trinity, into your lives. Let Him take control of your thoughts, actions and words. Once you do, you will see the horrific thing that abortion truly is. It is not a medical procedure. It is not a convenience. It is the taking of another human life.
I implore anyone else who is reading this piece to do the same. Pray for Planned Parenthood.
