If You Can’t Censure How Will You Impeach?
J.J. Jackson* | March 15, 2006
Sen. Russ Feingold (you know the little commie that helped beat back everyone’s right to free speech) has exposed a weakness that the Democrats are no doubt a little upset about having exposed. It appears that his attempt to censure President Bush over what the left claims are “illegal” wiretaps of enemies of America is going to fall flat. Republicans tried to bring it to the floor for a vote and the Dems stalled.
They don’t seem too eager to actually vote on the measure.
So the question now is if the left cannot even muster enough courageous Democrats to censure the President how on Earth are they going to make the case for something more drastic like … oh I don’t know … impeachment perhaps?
It’s a weakness that they didn’t want to be seen because they wanted America to believe wholeheartedly that they not only had the power and the will but also the grounds on which to impeach the President. Now however that appearance is falling apart.
You have Democrats admitting that the President should (and he does) have the power to conduct a war and collect intelligence on the enemy. And then you have fringe Democrats rushing to fill the void vacated by Senatorette Hillary Clinton and capture the moonbat base.
And what in the end do all of our eyes behold? Why, nothing more than a paper tiger that is the Democratic Party.
