Unemployment Rate:
4.7% in Jan 2006Payroll Employment:
+193,000(p) in Jan 2006Average Hourly Earnings:
+$0.07(p) in Jan 2006
Yet despite the good news some reports are casting doubts on the numbers. A couple news casts I listened to today tried to down play the increase in employment by saying that it was less than expected according to anonymous economists.
Considering that everything until the numbers come out is just a guess it doesn’t really matter.
4.7% unemployment is pretty DAMN good!
