Lefties Cry About Cindy - Rely Half Truths As Usual
J.J. Jackson* | February 2, 2006
Left wingers are always worried about their free speech but when their fellow travelers supress the free speech of others that is ok. Cindy Sheehan, for example, recently hung out with Venezuelan left winger Hugo Chavez who often jails those that disagree with him. I don’t believe she complained about that.
Likewise, Cindy and her gang protested all the day long before the State of the Union Speech practicing their First Amendment. Then she decided that she would try a new tactic. Cindy entered the gallery under the invite of a left wing Representative Lynn Woolsey and bore a t-shirt in protest of the Iraq war and who knows what else she had planned. But what the lefties don’t want to tell you as they are crying and moaning about Cindy’s “free speech” is that Beverly Young, wife of Republican Rep. Bill Young was also ejected because she was wearing a pro-war t-shirt. - Baltimore Sun
Haven’t heard much about that from the left now have you?
Mr. Young cried foul about his wife being ejected and now there are claims that neither should have been removed.
Hey, Cindy AND Rep. Young BOTH you Cindy and your wife Mr. Young should have been removed. T-shirts do not have a place at a formal event and the night belongs to the President. Afterall the Constitution mandates that he do this. Protestors in the capital that make a ruckus have the opportunity to prevent this from happening and thus violate the Constitution by inhibiting the President’s Constitutional duty.
The State of the Union is an event that should be respected with more than a “t-shirt” no matter which side of the isle you are on. Protestors are not allowed in the gallery.
Beverly Young said “They said they made a mistake ? that I violated no rules” - LA Times. No Beverly you did violate the rules. You violated the rules of common sense and respect that the State of the Union should receive.
Somehow however I doubt that you will understand that. And somehow I doubt you will hear the left talk about Ms. Young much since they are up in arms about Cindy. The left knows that protestors are removed from the gallery. It has happened before. This was a set up so that Cindy could now loudly proclaim that she is going to file a lawsuit.
I am so upset and sore it is hard to think straight,” Sheehan writes in her online diary. “I have some lawyers looking into filing a First Amendment lawsuit against the government for what happened tonight. I will file it. It is time to take our freedoms and our country back. I don’t want to live in a country that prohibits any person, whether he/she has paid the ultimate price for that country, from wearing, saying, writing, or telephoning any negative statements about the government. That’s why I am going to take my freedoms and liberties back. That’s why I am not going to let Bushco take anything else away from me … or you.” - WorldNetDaily
Go ahead Cindy. You file that lawsuit. Going to be pretty hard to make your case when you had been practicing your “free speech” all day long. Oh and might want to reconsider your association with Hugo Chavez as well if that is your stance.
But as usual this isn?t about everyone?s right to ?free speech?. What this is about is her right to free speech and the left?s right to shut up anyone that disagrees with them by supporting left wing tyrannt like Chavez.
