Cindy Sheehan A Liar? No? Really?

On behalf of Rep. Lynn Woolsey, Moonbat-Calif. Cindy Sheehan was invited to attend the State of the Union. Through a spokesman before the event Cindy Sheehan said that she “will be respectful and listen to the address because she is a guest of a member of congress.” (National Ledger)

When I heard this I said I have DEFINATELY got to watch to see what Mother Sheehan would do to draw attention to herself and show disrespect. Hey, I knew it was going to happen as did anyone with two active brain cells - which of course excludes your average liberal.

Even before the event however Sheehan was removed after being warned as to what was and was not acceptable at the formal event.

The offense: her shirt, bearing an anti-war message and other “unlawful conduct,” police said.

Sheehan, the mother of a fallen soldier in Iraq who reinvigorated the anti-war movement, was handcuffed and charged with unlawful conduct, according to Capitol Police Sgt. Kimberly Schneider. The charge was a misdemeanor and Sheehan was being released on her own recognizance, Schneider said.

Schneider said Sheehan had worn a T-shirt with an anti-war slogan to Tuesday night’s speech and covered it up until she took her seat. Police warned her that such displays were not allowed in the House chamber, but she did not respond, the spokeswoman said. - Seattle Post Intelligencier

Yes, that’s right Cindy Sheehan is a liar. She said she would be respectful yet attempted to draw attention away from the State of the Union and make herself the center of attention. Doesn’t sound very “respectful” to me.

Now, some of the more rabid liberals will cry foul. They will talk about how her “freedom of speech” was infringed upon forgetting that Cindy Sheehan had been outside all day freely practicing her “free speech”.

The State of the Union is a formal event. And it is something that is required of the President to give. I didn’t drive down to Washington and sit in the gallery with a “Impeach Clinton” t-shirt after he admitted to high crimes and misdemeanors during his State of the Union. And I would expect the same respect from Mother Sheehan and other left wing, red diaper wearing babies who can’t get their way and think that they can act unwarrantedly just to derive attention.

But none of this comes as any surprise. The left has to lie and deceive about what they want and what they are going to do. It’s the only way they can get people to give them the time of day. What’s the matter Cindy? No one listening to you anymore once it became abundantly clear you don’t speak for the military or gold star families across America? I hear Hugo Chavez has a place for you in his administration…
