Raven at And Rightly So has a take on the cartoon picturing Mohammed with a bomb in his turban:
Sometimes we?re like lemmings

The other day I reacted to the CARTOON issue with my feelings and not with thinking. It happens to me all the time and I am learning to hold back judgement until more is known.

I’m not in 100% agreement but it is a respectable opinion. If a popular sect of my religion condoned the “martyring” of children and killing innocents and someone drew a picture of Jesus wearing a bomb belt I would be more upset with my religious leaders than someone that drew a truthful cartoon…

I do think that this whole issue can however be taken way too far.

Greyhawk at The Mudville Gazette keeps us updated on some pretty lame attempts to make our military look bad and bash men:
Death Before Dishonor

The latest Iraq war urban legend: Several female service members have died of dehydration because they refused to drink liquids late in the day due to fear of being raped by male soldiers if they had to use the women’s latrine after dark.

This is absurd for countless reasons - the most obvious being that death by dehydration takes a little longer than a couple hours without fluids, even in the hottest conditions.

But this fabrication has an interesting source…

The Museum of Left Wing Lunacy
has some interesting comments by Maurice Hinchey on why we didn’t capture Bin Laden yet. (Hint: we needed an excuse to bomb bomb bomb Iraq!)

And finally a link to Pamela at Atlas Shrugs for choosing my Steelers to win the Super Bowl and being RIGHT! Go STILLERS!
