Who Is Judge “Alioto”?

Teddy Kennedy yesterday made reference to Judge Alito as “Alioto”. Apparently when hitting the sauce it is hard to keep your brain straight.

When President Bush misspeaks the left is quick to decry him as stupid. When Senator Kennedy continually botches the English language and people’s names however it is just business as usually (”Osama-obama” anyone?). Maybe the reason that Teddy Kennedy has grave concerns about Alito’s nomination is because his research was on this mysterious Mr. “Alioto” instead. Maybe it was because he just finished off his last bottle of Chivas Regal. Or maybe its just because (like usual) he’s playing his petty games of political hackery. After all, its not like Teddy has never been caught trying to stack the court to obtain a certain political outcome right? Uh huh ?
