The “Capital One Bowl”! Corporations have gone overboard with the whole concept of “naming rights”. I’m less inclined to use your product if you slap your name as the primary name on an event or sports stadium. “PNC Park” here in Pittsburgh is another example. What’s wrong with something like “Clemente Park Sponsored by:PNC Bank”? I know for one your advertising dollar investment would go a lot further with me as the consumer if you didn’t try and make my leisure time into one big billboard trying to sell me something.
What’s even funnier is at the end of the “Capital One Bowl” they said that it was sponsored by Allstate. But I thought it was the “Capital One Bowl”? Hey, if you want to have the right to the bowl game it looks kinda silly when you have to have other companies help you out in defraying the advertising costs. Hey Capital One, a little advise here. Put the “Citrus” back in the “Citrus Bowl”! I don’t care if you make it the “Citrus Bowl: Sponsored by Capital One” but can we keep a little bit of the tradition here?

On topic and intelligent comments are always welcome as are humorous observations. But liberal talking points with no basis in reality, off topic comments, spam and advertisements are not.
