Sometimes It’s The Little Things…

It is big news that the conservatives took control of the Canadian government this week from the liberals that had been running Canada. Reports the Washington Time

[liberals] had tried hard to convince Canadians that Mr. Harper was an extremist who would try to strip away personal freedoms such as homosexual “marriage” and abortion

Kind of sounds like here in America doesn’t it? Abortion as a “freedom” I mean. Screw the “freedom” of the child however.

But what has not been reported on much is that one of the planks of Conservative leader Stephen Harper’s platform was reducing the wait time for medical care.

[Mr. Harper vowed] to clean up government, cut the national sales tax, clamp down on crime and cut waiting times for health care.

One of the cries from the liberal left here in America is that the claims of “waiting lines” for health care in Canada is over blown and how WONDERFUL socialized medicine is. Really? Seems kind of odd then that someone could run on that as a major part of his platform and WIN!
