LONGWOOD, Fla. (AP) - The parents of a 15-year-old boy accused of terrorizing classmates with a pistol warned authorities the weapon likely was fake before police shot him in a middle school bathroom, a family attorney said Saturday. - My Way

Can you almost smell the lawsuit coming when this is the lead in to the article?

Christopher Penley pulled a gun, took a hostage and then threatened police by pointing it at them. So they shot him. Afterwards it was confirmed to be only a pellet gun.

My response? GOOD!

Christopher had (according to others) stated that he wanted to die. Well, he got his wish via suicide by cop.

I’m sure there will be some out there that will say they should have approached Penley more cautiously and not shot him. And if the gun had turned out to be real we might have instead a dead cop who had done nothing wrong but was doing his or her job. Sorry. Don’t buy it.

You point a weapon of any kind at someone and threaten them and they have the right to shoot you dead. Don’t like it? Oh well! Tough tortellini for you!
