Oh Boy … Here We GO!

I really don’t know about some people. And the latest person I can add to that list is Stephen Baldwin, youngest of the “Baldwin brothers”. Stephen is a devout Christian. Absolutely not a problem with me. Stephen is also against pornography. Absolutely no problem with me again … except when he decides it is his role to go after people that chose to partake of such entertainment.
And that is exactly what the youngest Baldwin is doing. He is upset that there is a new adult store that has opened in his own neighborhood. And he has decided that he is going to harass the patrons of the store.
“The actor says he plans to stand outside the store every day and photograph license plates of its patrons until the business closes. He will, he threatens, identify the store’s customers and pay for a one-page newspaper ad each month to publish their names. ” - WorldNet Daily
Ok, let’s go over that again…
Stephen is going to stake out the store and photograph the people that go there and publish their names weekly. Gee Stephen, I can smell a stalking lawsuit and maybe some harassment charges coming with that approach! If the store is legal I dare say that Stephen here might be acting a little beyond reason.
“I definitely think that it adds to the moral decay or our culture,” says Stephen Baldwin. I don’t know if I’d go that far although I personally find pornography silly and childish. “OOOOOhhhhh look! BREASTS!” That’s basically what you are saying when you look at this kind of stuff. And the second thing you are saying is “OOOOOOOhhh I’m too much of a DORK to get anyone to show me theirs!”
But to sit around and harass private citizens on private property on a weekly basis? That’s a little too far.
The proper thing to do is win enough minds and hearts to get the store out of town. I’ll tell you this though, if the store is out in the open publishing the names of the people going there isn’t really going to do much since ANYONE can see them. They obviously aren’t much worried about their privacy.
It’s the libertarian in me I guess but I don’t really much care Stephen. Go ahead and protest. But if they aren’t breaking the law I would stay away from doing too much more.
