Its Not the “Process” That Is Broken

After the confirmation hearing for Alito wrapped up on Jan. 13, Delaware Democratic Sen. Joseph Biden, who voted by proxy against Alito because he is abroad monitoring Wednesday’s Palestinian election, called the system “broken.” - Fox News

Just like the left to see everything wrong isn’t it? It isn’t the “process” that is broken. What is “broken” is the people that are elected to represent the people thus causing the “process” to falter. The purpose of the hearings is to vet Judge Alito’s qualifications. But instead what we had was liberal Democrats rambling on for eternities, making political statements and accusations and then maybe eventually getting to a question and allowing barely any time for their babble to be addressed before they started off on a new tirade. This of course lead to Republicans trying to defend Alito instead of questioning him.

The problem here is that we have a political party that wants so desperately to maintain the last vestige of it’s power by keeping qualified people off the Supreme Court that it is laughable. What they want is the nomination and placement upon the court of people that will miraculously divine the right to murder children from a document that clearly protects life. What they want are people that will say sure there is a right to take private property for use by another private citizen *cough* Ginsberg *cough*. What they want are people that will support basically everything except what the Constitution specifically says the powers of government are.

They are so mired in their own ideological beliefs that the truth must be damned! And that is what makes the “process” broken. And the process will not be fixed until people like Senator Biden are replaced with people that seek the to serve the truth rather than their own political power.

And Republicans need to start growing some nuts. Because Heaven help us if the left ever wriggles it’s way back into power and gets to start nominating more Ginsbergs who are clearly unqualified to serve. Instead of voting for these candidates they need to say loudly “NO!”
