I Do Actually Agree With Howard Stern

Ok, time for today’s “How Many Conservatives Can I Piss Off Post”

Howard Stern - he’s rude, obnoxious, crude and woefully misinformed at times like when he claims its conservatives that are out to have him censored (or words to that effect). But I do agree with him when he says that we shouldn’t be afraid of or prohibited from using certain “offensive” words because some yummy brains think that we shouldn’t. You know the whole George Carlin 7 words you can’t say skit.

They’re words people. Why is one S-word offensive but poop, doody, crap, feces and stool ok? They mean the same thing don’t they? Yes. But people with a knack for controlling people long ago taught enough people that the S-word was “bad”. Why? Well…uh…because they say so.

Gee, that’s a GREAT reason.

Hey, it’s just a word. And it has a meaning. I’ve met very few people that I have spent enough time around to get a sample of how they talk that I can say I have never heard utter a “swear” word. In fact I am sitting here right now and counting them on all of two fingers. I’ve heard a lot of people decry the use of the words or claim they never use them (even my mother) but I have caught all but two of them using these same words themselves many times.

There is nothing wrong with them besides our own self-induced phobia about using them.

Let some guy string together 10 or 12 “swear” words together to make a sentence or respond to you. That’s ok. It might show a poor ability to form a rational thought but hey at least you have learned something about him. Dropping the occasional F or S bomb doesn’t hurt anyone.

Free Speech is free speech. Love it or take it out of the Constitution. Because as long as what Howard Stern does doesn’t cause you harm you should just get over it. Oh, and Howard, I’d be more concerned about the left wing fascists that have time and against throughout history shown that they WILL regulate speech.

Now if you don?t mind I have to go take a dump.
