Don’t Be Fooled - Democrtas Aren’t Giving Up
J.J. Jackson* | January 28, 2006
Democrats aren’t giving up even as more Democratic Senators announce they will vote for (or learn towards voting for) Judge Alito for confirmation to the Supreme Court. The latest is Sen. Kent Conrad, North Dakota (D). He joins the ranks of Nelson of Nebraska (D), Johnson of South Dakota (D), and Robert “KKK” Byrd of West Virginia (D) who not so surprisingly is trying to show conservative voters in the state of West Virginia that he deserves another term. Byrd (who is 87) is in for a serious challenge from John Raese. Raese ran against Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D) in 1984 and gave the liberal Democrat a scare in a state that was considered solidly Democratic.
But Democrats are not giving up. They are simply regrouping. You have Sen. John “The War Criminal” Kerry calling for a filibuster and several other Democrats saying they would support the move even though it will almost surely fail.
The battle has finally caught up with them and they are finally realizing that they are bleeding badly from the wounds they have received. Think of it more like they are in shock than anything else.
Now they are being rushed to the Emergency Room for treatment but when they heal they will be back on the battlefield rallying the far left to strike out against nearly everything that is good for America. You can never teach an old dog new tricks. And mark my words it will be the same old same old again in no time from the Democratic Party.
