Al Gore Still Off The Deep End?
J.J. Jackson* | January 15, 2006
Former Vice President Al Gore will deliver a major address Monday on the threat posed by policies of the Bush Administration to the Constitution and the checks and balances it created. The speech will specifically point to domestic wiretapping and torture as examples of the administration’s efforts to extend executive power beyond Congressional direction and judicial review. - Yahoo News
Hmmm. This reminds me of the old saying “Win if you can, lose if you must but ALWAYS cheat”.
Al Gore to talk about President Bush, “wiretaps” under ESCHELON and “torture” and their threats? And he is going to show us his wisdom by talking abut the Constitution and how these relate? Odd, I don’t recall Al “Hug a Tree” Gore ever being worried about this when his boss Bill Clinton initiated the ESCHELON program do you? Did you even know that the program started under Slick Willy? No, probably not.
And even the ACLU, the darling spear head of the left, admits that rendition of prisoners to foreign countries (for “torture”) happened under the Clinton Administration which Al Gore was a part of.
So Al Gore, the question is why are you now so concerned? Oh that’s right, you’re out of power. And this is all about regaining that power .
