Ok, again, I still maintain that short of a written letter saying “I am taking this action specifically to get a kickback from Abramoff” or money being deposited before a vote was changed it is going to be a hard case to prove against anyone.

But I just want you to remember the liberal mantra about Abramoff and his indian casino clients being a “Republican” scandal. I also want to remind you that last week I talked about all the Democrats that received money as well. I also talked about how campaigns from prominent Democrats like Hillary Clinton have rushed to return some of this money as well which is odd since it is supposedly so clean.

No doubt the left will be out there claiming that the partisan Bush Justice Department trying to draw attention away from the source of this scandal which we all “know” is the Republican Party.

We’ll have to see how this plays out. I’ll be surprised if anything comes from this against anyone that took money. Remember Abramoff might have very well been trying to exert undo influence which makes him guilty if he did. However in order to convict the other end you still have to show that that was the reason they voted the way they did.
