What Would Be The Difference?

Senator John McCain, an Arizona Republican, and New York Democratic Senator Hillary Clinton would be in a statistical tie if a presidential election were held today, according to a Quinnipiac University poll. - Bloomberg.com
The reason why it would be a tie is because they are both the same person.
If our nation’s security did not hang in the balance on this issue, it would almost be comical. You have Hillary trying to cast herself right of the Republicans on issues such as border security and the Department of Defense. You have John McCain acting like the liberal that he is. Maybe both candidates should switch parties.
Thomas Sowell apparently feels much the same as I do:
Nightmare for the 2008 Presidential election: Hillary Clinton versus John McCain. I wouldn’t know whether to vote Libertarian or move to Australia.
I would not vote for Libertarians, but I also would not vote for John McCain. I care for America too much.
If the Republicans actually put John McCain as their nominee, they would be doing a great disservice to America at large and to their constituents.
